Day 9 of 102. PUBLISHED 14/2/23, several weeks later in Singapore.
Eventually, this blog will (I hope) become accessible. When I am assured it can be accessed publicly, I shall continue to write as previously.

Clear blue skies with occasional cloud cover made for a day of perfect temperatures. The cold wind was more pleasant than uncomfortable. Jo and I chose to “do something” in and around Heraklion. Both of us agreed on exploring the remains at Knossos, which I will need to “Google” if I am to write intelligently about what I/we saw.
This time, the hop-on hop-off bus offered a much smoother ride than in Lisbon. Unfortunately, with an all aboard time of 17.30 hrs., there wasn’t time to do everything. We had a private guide around the site, but I think all four of us in the party felt vastly overwhelmed by the ton of knowledge he imparted. I took plenty of photographs, which I may or may not be able to identify in the fullness of rapidly evaporating time.

Knossos is certainly worth visiting, especially at this time of year, when visitors are far fewer than in a sweltering summer.

Many thanks for reading, David, 17.35 hrs on board in Heraklion.
14/2/23 I’m not sure if this blog was published when written. The original blog-site had run out of capacity, causing me considerable confusion. Here it is again, somewhat “out of sync.”
