Day 43 of 102. At Sea, en route from Phu My to Singapore.
Last night, we entered some rather turbulent waters after such a spectacular and lovely departure from the port of Phu My. And for the first time since the Bay of Biscay, a sea-sick pill was the order of the day. I’m sure that it helped me sleep well, but advancing the time-pieces an hour to G.M.T.+8 made getting up early much harder. I had a very late breakfast.
I had several bits of admin to attend to last night and today. First, I had to ascertain my covid-19 vaccination record to fill in a immigration form for Bali. My Internet had gone hay-wire, making getting the required information challenging. In the end, I referred to some old photographs on my phone for the relevant information. Then I (thought that I) needed a Singapore Arrival Form for a further call at Singapore tomorrow. It was ascertaining all of this that I discovered that I hadn’t received an e-mail for six days. Eventually, a young receptionist trawled her way through what was required to get me back online.
I did try to walk, but my cough had left me drained of much of my energy. I tried again in the late evening, but instinct was telling me not to bother. I made sure that I had achieved my basic target of 7,500 steps, around 2.75 miles.
Much of the day was spent indoors; it seemed to take forever to get my paperwork in order.
Late in the afternoon, I started to walk, but came across two people from Buxton who used to attend my church. What a coincidence! They return home tomorrow night after some days in Singapore and Dubai.

The sea remains fascinating, especially in the busy shipping lanes where there is so much to see. And for one final time (I hope not), I shall gaze on the armada of vessels anchored off Singapore. I do hope that I get out here at least one more time.
It was not a big day today. I just about achieved what needed to be done. Tomorrow night, there’s the World Cruise Party near Gardens By the Bay. This promises to be out of this world.
Many thanks indeed for reading, David 23.54 hrs, 22/2/23.
